Homeowner’s Design and Construction Class Offered
 
Homebuilding Tips for Homeowners, part of Brevard College’s CreekSide Community Education Fall curriculum, will introduce homeowners to the opportunities and challenges of the design and construction process.  Licensed architect Doug Harris and general contractor Frank Prince will be teaching a four session class this fall for anyone considering building a new house, undertaking a renovation or addition project or just wanting to learn about residential design and construction.
 
Participants will benefit from Mr. Harris and Mr. Prince’s nearly fifty years of combined experience in the construction industry. By understanding the process, the team players and their roles and responsibilities, along with an up–to-date knowledge of design and construction issues, the homeowner can not only survive but enjoy and maximize the success of their projects.
 
Homebuilding Tips for Homeowners will be offered four consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm starting September 21.  Registration begins at 9A.M., Monday August 16 at the Porter Center or Tuesday August 17 by phone at 884-8251.  More information on Creekside classes is available on line at www.brevard.edu/CreekSide.  For more information on Homebuilding Tips for Homeowners, contact Doug Harris at info@harrisarch.com or 828.883.5535.
